Cape Town · Working with SMEs across South Africa

Operational software and AI operations for South African SMEs.

Savi Dome builds and runs the systems a small business depends on every day: equipment control, quoting, intake, follow-up and reporting. Every change is approved, recorded and reversible.

Nothing sensitive goes out without a person approving it. Every step is written down, so it can be checked later and undone if needed.
WhatsApp is a channelClients and crews live there. Intake, quotes and updates work where the conversation already happens.
POPIA is a design inputPersonal information is collected for a stated purpose, kept where you can see it, and deleted when it is no longer needed.
Built for load-sheddingWork queues resume where they stopped. A power cut or a dropped connection never loses a job card or a quote.
Rand-based, fixed quotesPriced in rand, scoped in writing after discovery, and invoiced against agreed milestones. No surprise hours.
What we do

Three ways to engage, in the order most businesses need them.

Start with a discovery audit. Build only what the audit justifies. Then let us run it with you.

Start here

Discovery audit

Two weeks inside your operation. We map how work actually moves, where time and money leak, and what is worth fixing first. You get a written plan and a fixed quote, whether or not you go further with us.

Build

Operational software

Custom systems for the parts of the business that off-the-shelf tools do badly: equipment control and hire tracking, quoting engines, job cards, scheduling, and the reports the owner actually reads.

Run

AI operations

AI agents for intake, follow-up, document processing and reporting, connected to your real process. Sensitive actions wait for a person. Every decision is recorded.

How we work

Realistic timelines, written down before we start.

Weeks 1–2

Discovery

Interviews, a walk through the current tools, and a map of the process as it really runs.

Week 3

Design and quote

A written scope, the tools we will use, what data goes where, and a fixed price.

Weeks 4–9

Build

Working software in your hands every week, tested against real jobs, not demo data.

Week 10

Handover

Training for your team, plain-language documentation, and the admin access in your name.

Ongoing

Run and support

Monthly review, monitoring, and changes made through the same approve-and-record path.

You own everything. Accounts, data, source code and documentation are in your company's name from day one.
Proven tools first. We build on platforms you can hire anyone to maintain, and only write custom code where it earns its place.
A person approves the sensitive step. Payments, client messages and pricing never go out on an AI's say-so.
An audit trail behind every change. What changed, who approved it, and how to undo it are recorded as a matter of routine.
Work

Two pilots in progress with Cape businesses.

Both are live engagements. Results will be published here with the client's permission once each pilot completes.

Equipment hire and scaffoldingPilot in progress

Equipment control platform

The problem. Hire equipment tracked across spreadsheets, WhatsApp photos and memory. Items go missing between site, yard and client, and nobody can say with confidence what is where.

What we are building. A single register of every item, its location and its hire status, updated from the yard and the site on a phone, with a daily exception report for the owner.

Freight and logisticsPilot in progress

Quote engine and operations advisory

The problem. Quotes assembled by hand from rate sheets and email threads, slowly and inconsistently, while the client waits.

What we are building. A quoting engine that drafts from the approved rate card, routes every quote through an approval, and records what was sent, to whom and when.

About

Founder-led. Francois works directly on every engagement.

Savi Dome is a Cape Town company founded by Francois van der Merwe in 2023. It exists because most small businesses are run on tools that were never designed for them, by people who do not have time to fix that. We take that work on, carefully.

Builds and runs operational systems for equipment-hire, logistics and services businesses. Works the way an operator would want a supplier to: fixed scope, plain language, and a written record of every change.

Questions

The things owners ask first.

What does it cost?

The discovery audit is a fixed fee agreed up front. Everything after it is quoted as a fixed price against a written scope, invoiced on milestones. We will tell you early if we think the numbers do not justify the work.

How long does it take?

Discovery takes two weeks. A single system usually takes six to eight weeks to build and hand over. Anyone promising results in days without looking at your process first is guessing.

Where does our data live, and who owns it?

In accounts registered to your company, on platforms you choose with us. We hold access only while we are working, and we record what we accessed and why, in line with POPIA.

What happens after handover?

Your team is trained, the documentation is yours, and you can carry on without us. Most clients keep a monthly run-and-support arrangement so changes keep going through the same approve-and-record path.

Contact

Tell us how the work moves today. We will tell you what is worth fixing.

A thirty-minute call, no preparation needed. If a discovery audit makes sense, we will send a fixed quote in writing the same week.
